Donald Trump Offers AP Interviewer a Coke and a Smile

The AP sat down with Donald Trump for an interview recently and, wouldn’t you know it, he said things that made people groan. It’s no surprise that anytime Trump speaks the internet salivates for juicy details on every flip flop or “oops” moment. There is truly never a dull Trump interview because you don’t know what he will say or do next. The AP interview had it’s moments like when Trump says he never heard of Wikileaks.

Of course there is only one way to follow this and that is with Wikileaks tweeting out a video of Donald Trump professing his love for Wikileaks.

This is exactly the kind of person Donald Trump is. I actually believe that Donald Trump doesn’t know Wikileaks because he honestly just says what ever he wants and forgets about it a minute later.

If we go further back, in 2010 Donald Trump was asked specifically what he thought about Wikileaks.

So in 2010 Donald Trump was asked about Wikileaks and he thought it was disgraceful.  Just find out what people want to hear and say it, rinse, and repeat. Six years later just say the opposite as long as that’s what the people you are catering to want.

Trump also told the Associated Press how he had no idea the massive role of the President as well as the need to actually have a heart to be commander and chief. Oh and don’t forget about the speech he gave to congress which people are telling him was the greatest single string of words put together in front of congress since they christened those hallowed hallways.

It seems Trump is the best at everything he does. Of course that is the personality we have seen since Trump has been in the public eye so is it really a surprise to anyone who’s been paying attention? Still, it never ceases to amaze me the plethora of stories Trump shares about “hearing from many people” that he is the “best they have seen at (insert any task here)”.

Of course my favorite part of the interview? It’s hands down the moment when Trump after scrambling and flailing on China and his about face on labeling them currency manipulators, s stops everything he’s doing to offer the interviewer a Coke in a bizarre moment I wish I could have witnessed live and in person.

Who offers an interviewer a coke in the middle of an interview? It’s just odd. I feel like 90% of Donald Trump’s hydration intake is Coke or Coca Cola products.

Overall, the AP interview was great and the interviewer was fair with questions and follow ups but I have to dock him some points for not talking about the Coke offer and ask if Coke is sponsoring the Trump presidency.

How do you think Trump did with the interview? Did he open your eyes to anything? Are you surprised with how Trump is barely scratching the surface on what he pledged to do in his first 100 days? Or do you agree that is just an “artificial number” and he has put plenty of things in place? #TeamTrump or #TeamNeverTrump? Where do you sit?
