Sad news on Easter Sunday as people went to their social media and found a horrific video spreading across the internet. The video was streamed on Facebook Live and showed the senseless murder of 74-year-old Robert Godwin Sr of Cleveland, Ohio. The suspect, Steve Stephens approached and asked Mr Godwin to repeat the name of Mr Stephens girlfriend. Mr Godwin, visibly confused by the question, repeated the name and Mr Stephens followed up stating that is the person responsible for what is about to happen. At this point the suspect raised his gun pointing it at Robert Godwin Sr and shot him. The video is graphic and disgusting and I urge nobody to watch it. I read the description and knew it was something I had no interest in seeing not only out of respect for the victim but especially if it is going to give Mr Stephens what he wanted, an audience for his crime. We need to focus on the victims in these cases as Mr Godwin was returning from an Easter Sunday meal before being gunned down.
